Frequently asked questions
Is everything included, or are features paid add-ons?
Everything on this page is in every plan. Cultcha doesn’t charge per module — plans differ only by how many devices they run on (2, 6, 12 or unlimited), and you pay Stripe’s standard processing rates on transactions with no markup.
Does Cultcha work for both cafes and gyms?
Yes. The same platform runs a cafe (POS, modifiers, bump screen, stock) and a gym or studio (memberships, class scheduling, bookings, QR check-in). Many venues use both sides at once.
Can I take payments in person and online?
Yes. Accept in-person payments with Stripe Terminal smart readers (tap, chip, contactless) and online payments through the branded customer portal — all settled to your own Stripe account.
Does Cultcha handle recurring memberships?
Yes. Weekly, fortnightly, monthly, annual or fixed-term billing by card or Australian bank account, with minimum terms, notice periods, holds, late fees and a retry schedule for missed payments — arrears are tracked on the member, not in a report.
Can members change or pause their own plan?
If you let them. Each plan has an allow-list of what it can change to in the app, and holds follow a policy you set — minimum and maximum length, notice, and whether a hold inside the minimum term needs a manager’s PIN.
Can customers book classes and manage their own membership?
Yes. The customer app and portal let members book classes, buy packs and products, update their card, and access QR passes — all self-service.
